Argentina license plates
As a license plate collector, you will reach the point when your interest shifts towards something specific.
One of the most fascinating, divers and interesting country to collect is Argentina.
They issued porcelain plates for about 30 years which is the longest period anywhere.
Every municipality in every province had their own plates even the smallest cities got their own ones.
I plan to write up a history of the plates but now just a brief oversight of the Argentina license plates.
There are 23 provinces and the city of Buenos Aires.
The porcelain era:
1904-1934 approximately
The aluminium era:
1923-1935
The embossed steel era:
1935-today
